Routes from airport to Trutnov
Basically, there are two main ways to get to Trutnov: by train or by bus.
The bus is cheaper, takes just 2 hours and runs more frequently, but its capacity is more limited.
The train takes 3 hours, but it's more comfortable and it's easier to get a seat.

Airport Express bus

The easiest way to get to the main train station (Hlavní nádraží) is by Airport Express bus. It costs 100 Kč (4€) and you pay directly to the driver (accepts both cash and cards). It leaves every 15-30 minutes and it will take you to the train station within 30-40 minutes without any transfers.

Regular city buses

You can also take the regular buses to get to the train station ( bus 59 to Nádraží Veleslavín) or bus station (bus 100 to Zličín) and then transfer to the metro.
The ticket costs 40 Kč (1.5€) for 90 minutes and is valid for the metro, trams and buses (except for AE bus).
You can buy the ticket in ticket terminals on buses, trams, and metro stations or at ticket machines. More info here.

Train

You can either buy a train ticket online in the Czech railways e-shop or personally at the train station. With online ticket, you can also get a free seat reservation. When buying the ticket at the station, you can buy a seat reservation or just the train ticket, which is valid for any train on the route within the day.
The direct train goes every 2 hours and it takes 3 hours to get to Trutnov. You can search the timetables on IDOS.cz. Don't worry if all the seats in the reservation system are already reserved. Not all seats can be reserved, so you can still find a free seat on the train. Also, in the worst case scenario, you can stand or sit in the train aisle.

Bus

You can buy a ticket on AMSBus.cz. When boarding the bus, the driver will ask you to tell him the seat number and the code of you ticket (you don't need to print it). It is possible to buy the ticket from the driver, but there is a high chance that it will be sold out and he won't allow you to stand in the bus.

Both the train station and bus station in Trutnov are located 1.5 km (1 mi) from the OEF area. Link to the map
